Converged Multimedia Networks (15 - 16 June 2006)

Convergence of the internet and other services such as telephony has been predicted for several years.

This course focuses on enabling technologies, rather than commercial considerations. The course will show where parallel functions exist in fixed and mobile voice network architectures and explain how these functions will be combined.

You will learn about the key requirements in the construction of a converged network and how such a network might evolve in the next five years.

Course Presenters
Juliet Bates - Principal Consultant, Alcatel
Matthew Bocci - Director of Technology and Standards, IP Division, Alcatel
