3G / DVB-H Mobile TV (19 June 2006)
Co-presented by Tomi Ahonen, Independent Strategy Consultant & Author, and James Parton, Head of Music TV and Video at O2, this intensive one-day course looks at the business, programming and services round the "fourth screen" and the "seventh mass media". The course is non-technical and no prior knowledge of cellular telecoms or broadcast TV is necessary.
Course looks at the TV and video content concepts for mobile, from downloadable clips on 2.5G and 3G, to video streaming, to broadcast on DVB-H and DMB. Convergence solutions around messaging, TV, video, etc are covered. The course will include the latest results from the Oxford DVB-H trials.
The course offers tools for service creation and concept evaluation. It includes successful service concepts from Korea, Japan, Italy, Scandinavia and the UK.
